MERQ Participated in the 4th Annual CPD Forum Organized by the Ministry of Health, Ethiopia

MERQ was officially accredited as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provider in January 2025. Following this, the Ministry of Health (MOH) extended an official invitation for MERQ to participate in the 4th Annual CPD Forum held in Adama from January 28–29, 2025.

MERQ’s Training and Scientific Writing Manager represented the organization at the forum, which was held under the theme

Improving Access and Quality of CPD for Better Health Outcomes.”

The event brought together representatives from regional and city health bureaus across Ethiopia, along with accredited CPD providers from each region.

The forum featured the presentation of several papers and concluded with future directions outlined by the MOH Human Resources Directorate. It provided MERQ with a valuable opportunity to assess its progress as a CPD provider, share its experiences with other institutions, and learn from best practices presented by peers.

MERQ also received key recommendations to incorporate into its CPD activities in order to better align with the national CPD framework set by the MOH.

Finally, MERQ extends its sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Health for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to this important national dialogue on continuing professional development.
